The little Fishy...: )

I felt the baby move for the first time last night. Not like a major kick or anything, but I know for sure that's what it was. I can finally distinguish it from the other gurgling, bubbling, and moving going on in my belly right now. It didn't feel like kicking...or fluttering like they say it should...It was more like I had swallowed a fish and it was swishing and swimming around in my lower belly. lol Crazy! But oh so cool! :) And then it was reaffirmed tonight while me and Miche were doing some Sunday night lounging. And he pushed on my belly to try and get her to move, and she would swish, swish, swish right back. lol it was the coolest thing. So of course Miche had to keep doin' it to make her move around in my belly. lol He's so excited to be able to feel it himself. I think he feels left out. So hopefully it won't be too much longer! :) She just has to get a little bigger and start kickin' a little harder to get through my belly! :) Which by the way, is rounding out and starting to protrude more and more everyday it feels like. :S I'm only 4 months. It shouldn't be this soon right??? :P But I don't think it's just gettin' chubby...pregnancy has taken away my appetite unfortunately. I thought being pregnant was supposed to be the one time you could eat what you want?! What the heck! Oh well! It will all be worth it! And I guess there's nothin' wrong with a pregnancy symptom that helps keep the pregnancy weight down and doesn't require me to vomit right? lol I'll just be glad when I actually start looking pregnant and not just like I ate too much for lunch...:P

A week and a half til we know for sure if she's a girl or grew some boy parts! Yeah!

Yeah!! A girl!!

So I posted this on our family website but I thought I would post it here too and maybe elaborate a little bit on how excited I am! : ) WE'RE HAVIN' A GIRL!!! I can hardly even wait! I have always said that I wanted a boy first, because I always wanted an older brother growin' up. But shortly after I got pregnant I decided that wasn't the case for a couple reasons. First of all baby girls are just SO much fun to dress up! : ) the cute little bows and headbands with the giant flowers, and the cute little clothes and dresses and shoes and the tiny little bracelets! It'll just all be so fun. Also, it seems like everybody around us is havin' a little boy! So I thought it would be fun to have a girl, somethin different. Also, and I suppose this is the more practical reason, I think it helps make you a strong responsible person to be the oldest. And I don't want my daughters to be wimpy little girls! : ) So anyways, I posted a poll of a bunch of names that we like on our family blog, terrytapestry.blogspot.com. So go and vote on them! :)

Love Languages

I found a letter in my overnight bag on my wedding night from my mom. She had written it for be telling me how proud she was of me and happy she was for me. She also included some marriage advice. My mom had an awesome marriage. She was so lucky to be married to a great man that loved her so much. I really respected and looked to their marriage as a model for my own. Back to the letter, inside one of the things that she mentioned was to seek advice wherever I could to improve and make my marriage great. And that there were not only great people who could give it, but hundreds of excellent books written on marriage and family that could give great insight and advice. So in keeping with my belief that my mom was such a wise woman when it came to relationships, whether it be with her kids, friends or husband, that I decided to finally pick up and read this book The Five Love Languages that's been sitting in our bookcase since my first bridal shower.
Miche is super reluctant to seek marriage advice from anyone that doesn't know us personally. But I on the other hand, have a little more faith in some of these awesome authors. Even though Gary Chapman obviously doesn't know us personally, or anything about our situation, there were so many things in this book that made SO much sense and that I could relate directly to our marriage.
Our marriage is awesome. Me and Miche have a great relationship that never ceases to amaze me. But I'm a firm believer in that even though great, nothing is perfect, and there is always room for improvements to make it even better. So I highly recommend this book. It gave me awesome insight not just into our marriage but also to myself. I learned things about myself that while I'd always knew, had never been explained so simply and so well. I think any person, in any relationship, could benefit from reading this book! Check it out and let me know what ya think!

It's about time eh?

Me and Miche like to think of ourselves as relatively "with the times" and on top of most of all these communication and technology trends. So it is sad to say that I am among the last of all of you to get a blog. I've been "blog hopping" for months keeping up on the lives of friends, and even a little snooping into the lives of past acquaintances. (I'm not gonna lie, it's a blast to see what everyone I went to high school with has been up to. I don't think there's anything too totally wrong with being a little nosey...; ) ) And now the day has finally come, and not only have we set up a family blog, but I have got one as well.

All this while I have been thinking about getting one, everyday has presented some new happening or event that has made me think "that would be really great to blog about". But unfortunately I continued to procrastinate and put it off, so now I'm gonna have to do what I'm going to call a "Gradual Blog Catch-up" So as not to waste away my day doing it in one post. But for starters, I'm gonna give ya a brief description about what I've been as of late.

Let's start first with the hubby. For those of you that don't already know, I took it upon myself to marry one of my closest friend's older brother. And it has turned out to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. Miche is without a doubt my soul mate. He's my rock when the rest of the world has been turned upside down and backwards. He supports me in all my crazy ideas. He loves me unconditionally. And together we make up the craziest, goofiest pair you can imagine. I am truly blessed to be married forever to my best friend.

Ok enough of the mushy stuff! We are currently living in Brigham, for how long, I'm not sure. But family is keeping us here for now. Miche is working in the Creative Services department of Associated Food Stores in Salt Lake. It's a long commute, but he loves his job, and we love bein' by family, so we make it work. And as for me, I am a full time student right now. I'm studying to be a Medical Transcriptionist. Which is not necessarily my career choice, but more of a means to an end. It is going to allow me to stay at home with our kids while Miche gets his degree. And as for that, he is working his way towards a degree in Computer Animation, and he's super excited about it. He is by far the creative half of this relationship, and oh so talented!!! : ) Right now he is just getting in as many classes as will transfer at Utah State. But ultimately the plan is for him to finish up at BYU, they have an incredible program. It is one of, if not the best program in the country. Our dream outcome is that he will be able to get a job with Disney/Pixar. The Disney perks would be awesome! And I think it would be a blast to take some time and live in California. But if that doesn't work out as planned he's gonna take up helping to build his favorite hobby....video games. : ) Not a bad career choice at all. As for me I'm just looking forward to a career in Mommyhood. We are super excited to start building a family. And I can't wait to be a full time mom.

That's about it of where we are right now. It's been a long crazy road, but we are so happy with where we are in our lives and where we are going.
